Giving as Worship

In writing to the church in Corinth, Paul reminds the followers of Christ there that, “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7). But as anyone knows giving can be anything but cheerful. So what is it that can create such joy in us that will cause our hearts and hands to be opened up in a happy generosity?

Giving in itself is a ministry to advance God’s kingdom business, elevate the needs of others and the less fortunate.

Contemplate the glory of God and the magnitude of his love for us in Christ Jesus long enough and you will find yourself giving with joy unspeakable. May all our giving be the joyful response to God’s inexpressible gift to us in the gospel of his Son, our Savior!
